Summer Dragon is coming up fast and I still need to get my car in order. Car has been sitting most of the time during the last few month except for the occasional spirited drive on the back roads close to my house.

So far I have done the following:
New rear tires. Have about 500 miles on them

What I still need to do:
Change the oil in the engine, transmission, differential
Check the coolant level, the brake fluid for the clutch and brakes and the brake pads
Wash and wax the car
Treat all the rubber parts to a liberal coat of Shin-Etsu
Polish the plastic rear window - still have the original top

 

Just put new tires on the rear, fronts are OK....

Still need tranny, diff fluids changed, but that may occur after the Dragon.

Replaced coolant hoses and antifreeze two w/e's ago.....

Got new front brake pads on order.... will go on this w/e hopefully.

Need to pull the front bumper and clean the CAI filter.... yes, I have to pull the bumper to do this!

Other than that, I think the car is ready to go.

 

I'm just going to rinse mine off and go. All that oil stuff is jus too much work.

 

I got new wheels and tires installed last month as well as a new alignment.

I still need to change the oil, tranny fluid, diff fluid and do a brake flush and I will be ready to go.

 

I've got to do a brake and clutch flush but that may have to wait until after the Dragon. I still want to put at least one more coat of Zaino on before the dragon.

 

Lots goin' on with The Bruised Banana. Hope I'll be able to juggle work & its upgrades for the June trip. Can't put my new rear shoes on or change the fluids out until the car comes out of the stereo shop. Upgrades audio-wise will (hopefully) include a sub in the trunk/tool area, 5ch amp in the spare tire area, double-din touchscreen monitor w/ CarPlay in the dash, and new speakers all around. Coolant Flush (Maybe replace hoses for the heck of it)
Oil Change
Dial in Alignment (too much rear toe)
Install new front lip. My old one is sitting on I-95 somewhere between Columbia SC and Savannah, GA...dont ask...
Reupholster the arm rest
Interior Detail

Possible:

New Soft Top
Exhaust

Leave yourself a good 2-3 hours for the hoses....

Just did them at our local tech day... and it took a guy who has done his (and he works on jet aircraft for a living) and I about 3 hours to do them.

The rear top hose connection is a b*tch to get to!!!!
