Just an FYI, they are not there just for cars, but for bikes too. If you find yourself to be the slower rider/driver with people piling up behind you, take a minute and pull over to let the others pass. Legally in TN, if you are holding 5 or more vehicles up, you should be pulling over.

The paved turn outs and OMG PAVED GRAVEL LOT!!! I guess we'll have to start referring to it as "The Lot formerly known as The Gravel Lot"
Too bad those nice smooth paved pull outs don't encourage slow bikes to pull over
I was behind one bike that pulled over for another bike, and then pulled back out right in front of me
Then there was the bike in front of me that smiled and waved thank you to each CAR that pulled out for them (and me), but NEVER in 8 miles thought they should show any consideration and pull out for me
At least the cars were kind enough to use the pull outs
We had a great getaway, and some good runs on the Dragon too
