Default Uh Oh

The Dragon is closed due to a rockslide.

No news on how long it will reamain closed or, if it's another long one, if they'll open it up for one way traffic the way they did the last time.

Here we go again...

More details here. The slide was near the Calderwood Dam according to the TV station which reported this. That is at the west end of the Dragon. More info here. Looks like it's at mile marker 9.5. According to the newspaper, there's a large rock blocking one lane and a bunch of trees that came down due to the slide. This area is beyond the overlook but before the Gravel Pit. We may be doing a lot of Rt 28 driving .

As far as I know, no one is still regularly blogging the events on the Dragon.

The Facebook (may its servers suffer untimely obsolescence) page for the Gap hasn't had an update since Tuesday.

Anyone know of other first hand accounts of life on the Dragon?

That is bad news but the good news is, there are so many great roads in the area that we can still enjoy ourselves.
