Update on the Patrol @ Dragon...
Good articles as to why to not go to Tennessee and spend money - revenue supports state government. Of citations issued how much was returned to state vice what was spent to enforce? That'll never be answered!
I personally feel they need to keep the 18 wheelers off the Dragon, even if it's a state road. They (18 Wheelers) can not make it over the Dragon without breaking the law - crossing a double yellow line. Is there a law enforcement officer present to enforce that law?
We, motorcyclist and others, know why the law is there. To hassle!
Oh, the web site posted as "U.S. 129 "Deals Gap" Enforcement Initiative Reduces Crashes 53% ..... " is like the rest of their article, not even correct (The Tennessee Department of Safety w.tennessee.gov/safety will not even open - ironic?).
