Skyline Drive about 45 miles south of Front Royal is tar and chip (and a TON of road dust). I drove it with the Mid-A group 1.5 years ago, and still have dust in parts of the car I cant reach, from that drive.
Just a friendly FYI. I definitely dont want to discourage you from driving it, though - its beautiful, just crappy road conditions sometimes.
