I'll touch base with you Andy.. I am no geek, but I do have a nice cam. and an "L" lens.. I am sure Mocky & Hiro will also jump in here...or @ the Dragon, anyway....
sweet! I would love to get to see the difference it makes from a stock lens to an L lens for the same shot settings

I'd suggest you all plan to get together during the lunch on Saturday.

We'll be at the top of Fontana Dam from roughly 11:30 - 1:00. Plenty of time to eat a sandwich and talk shop, I mean lenses, or depth of field or whatever it is camera geeks talk about.

Some beautiful views from up there as well.

Yours in tilt/shift,

I saw this thread and immediately thought... "Ron better be there"

Let me know when and where you guys plan on getting together.. I'm sure I'll be shooting photos somewhere again

I like the idea of meeting during (immediately after) lunch on Saturday.

So long as it's daylight & not interfering with our other important events (poker run, beer swap, fluffy clouds, etc) I'm good with just about any time

I agree with the idea of maybe doing it after lunch on Saturday (maybe meet at the bottom parking lot (at the top of the Dam) afterwards? (not sure about time).

Great idea Shelia.....

...Is there going to be a "Cookout"
Nope; the cookout is Friday night. Saturday lunch will be a "bag" lunch (sandwich, chips, cookie, drink, etc.) at the picnic pavillion at the top of the dam. That way, you can "grab it and go" or "grab it and stay". Your choice!
