Default WTD9 Poker Run

I will putting the annual Wake the Dragon Poker Run together again for this years event. I really appreciate the response last year by all involved and thank the volunteers for their participation last year. You are what makes this event possible!

Over the next month or two I will be putting this event together. In the next thirty days, I need to get the route, rules and schedule together

I am looking for volunteers to man the stops. It would be preferable to have two people at each stop (the second person can be a +1). I would also like to have five stops. If you can work a stop, please post up here and/or PM me. Also let me know if you have a preference of where you would like to be.

Volunteers:

CitadelBlue -
PJCC -
Mocky - Top of the Dam
smccoy & Ron -Tail of the Dragon
sw05s2k & family - Tallasee Store

Be advised, volunteers will be permitted to compete in the Poker Run, as can all +1's. We are expecting 100+ participants in the event, with 60 or more cars!

Also, suggestions for stops would be appreciated. If there was a stop last year that really didn't work out, or if you have an idea for a new stop in the area, post them up here.

Based on the last two years, the stops I am now contemplating are:

Stop 1 - Parking lot across from Tallasee Store (good gas stop)
Stop 2 - Tail of the Dragon
Stop 3 - Parking lot at Santeelah (need to check this out first, was closed last year due to construction)
Stop 4 - somewhere on the Cherahola
Stop 5 - top of the Dam

Registration is slated to begin on Friday at noon till 2:00 PM

Event to run from 1 PM till 4:00 PM

Final rules will be posted later in March, along with prize list. Entry fee is anticiapated as $5. All proceeds,(and then some) are returned in prizes and promotions to participants.

I remember that!

Thank you Ken! I am putting you on the list! But you know the sort of individuals that troll this forum - are you sure you want to leave your manner of dress up for suggestion?

I'm sure Ken can dress himself - now, since your volunteering - (that is why you posted, right?) which stop would you like to man? Inquiring minds want to know.

I have no clue what you are talking about!!

Me volunteer for something....

That is against my religion....

Against my political beliefs.....

Against my better judgment!!!
