So I ended up with a free widebidy s2000 that’s been sitting in a field for a few years. No motor, trans, soft top, and seats. It was in rough shape.

Basically anything that resembled an interior was garbage. So we looked at a 2jz and some LS motors laying in the shop and have decided an LS3 with a single turbo setup will help us run the times we want and keep the build budget where I want. Rubbing out the rear wheel wells, building a vetted cage, and swapping in an 8.8 rear are on the to do list as well.
