By the way - how is the weather in April? I think most of the passes are closed so early in the year?

Cheers from Germany,
Nick
Hi Nick,

This question was asked in another topic and I got the following reply from Beppe who is a staff member of S2k Club italia:

during the night 10 to 15 degrees
the only doubt is the stelvio pass , but remember on the stelvio
we can have snow also in july .
In trentino there are a lot of spectaculars roads so this is not a big matter

Hope that answers your question.

Hi you's lot. Just thinking about the chap, who's he called? that silly bugger called Lee, Maybe he would require some help!!!
Please folk, lets help him and the others who are sorting the trips down and back.

As a trip like this takes so much to sort, (I don't mean help in finding things like where we staying,) I mean; If you get a email or a request from your organiser then please reply asap with all the things they need from you.
Also when we are on the trip please try to read all the stuff you have been given. This will help you and Lee. There is nothing more frustrating than somebody asking
"What time do we go from XYZABC etc?"

Please remember this trip is also the organisers holiday as well as yours!! And believe me, I think they will need it after the hours of legwork they have put in to ensure that we all have a brill time.

I'm not sure whether to create another thread for this or just ask the question here but what is the best GPS system for this sort of trip for entering POIs like tyre centres and hotels for the trip down and back?

I think Tom Tom is the most popular but we have software to make maps itineraries and the like all work on different satnavs.

Hi all

This is my first post although been around the site for a while and booked up for the Euromeet!

Has anyone experience of the Newcastle to Ijmuiden (Holland) ferry route. Driving from Scotland so looking to keep UK motorway miles down!
