Have booked on the 8am Norfolk lines ferry. Will be in the local Premier Inn overnight. What time are we meeting at the terminal on Wed AM? I originally volunteered to lead a group but saw you were going to use the same route so am asking to join yours. Should numbers get too big I am happy to lead half the group. Am getting the 8pm ferry back on the following Saturday. My route back is via Genoa and the Med tunnels to Cannes then the Route Napoleon (allegedly Europe's best driving road). Thence to Moulouse to see the French Motor Museum (50 Bugattis and loads of very rare cars). Will return to Dunkirk via Belgium avoiding Paris. - Johnsie

Ferry's all booked now. We're with you on the 8am Wednesday booking, and have committed to a 6pm crossing on the following Wednesday for the return leg.

Good to have you along Johnsie - I think this thread will end up being a kind of one way affair. I.e. everyone driving down together, but then going their own ways home afterwards.

.... and then there were 3!

Perhaps a bit closer to the time we can all meet up for a drink and sort out a loose itinerary.

Dinibird.

Welcome aboard Johnsie. we'll pull together details shortly but we would need to check in 45 minutes before departure. I like the idea of a travellodge in Dover, might consider that one near the time if budget permits.

Taking similar route back to you into France after the meet and back in Dunkirk Friday afternoon. I'm sure there will be a few more heading that way too. We'll be heading off northwest as we are meeting family in Blois and Le Havre later in the week.

thanks Stocky, we'll finalise our route and depending on how many of us there are we'll be in touch.
I was in Lux a few years ago and have been wanting to go back for ages.

Is fuel cheaper in Lux or Germany ?
