Ian, there could be 5 Irish cars going that way too. We are not sure as to which route we will take to the continent as yet, but just keeping our options open. Cheers

Just a quick note for those with the tesco club card vouchers as these can be redeemed against euro tunnel bookings. But only for the timed departures and not the arrive anytime tickets

I have emailed Eurotunnel, My Ferries, DFDS, and P&O ferries asking for group booking rates using a discount code. The email explains that we will not all be using the same routes (where relevant) and that we will not all be travelling at the same time. Hopefully for those travelling from Ireland, we can get discounts on both crossings.

So far had only had a reply from Eurotunnel who are being pedantic in that they will only give group booking rates to groups of 15 or more who travel out and back at the same time and days. I explained that this is impractical for us as members will be travelling down in small groups and for varying periods of time, burt they are sticking to their rules!

I have not finished with them yet but if there are members who can meet these requirements then let me know. I am more hopeful in respect of the other ferry companies.

Alan, what tunnel times had you in mind for the group discount? Early Wed or Thur morn is my thinking.

If I can get a discount, I was expecting those travelling by Eurotunnel to go between 0600 and 0800 hours. However what I am trying to get is a discount code that would give a percentage off any fare. They are being pedantic and saying that we need 15 cars all to go at the same time. This means it may be better to join the Minvo convoy to get the discount at least one way.

I am planning on crossing on Wed morning between 0600 and 0800.
Happy to meet up with a group and cross together.

We can meet at the M20 J11 Folkstone Services (in the main car park as close as possible to the Shell Petrol)
Parking is free for 2 hours. Eurotunnel is 4 miles away
Postcode: CT21 4BL

How does this sound?
