Spent a little time on suggestions for the route from Calais tunnel to Nancy. Trying to keep to approximately 5 hrs ish driving time and the links to suggestions are as follows,

1. This is with tolls and predominantly M way but with the option (not included) of stopping at the Historic Reims track.

https://www.viamichelin.co.uk/web/Sm...elConsumption=

2. Again predominantly M way but without tolls but travelling through multiple countries (France,Belgium,Luxembourg and back into France.

https://www.viamichelin.co.uk/web/Sm...elConsumption=

Both have the advantage of many options of rest areas. If M way is to be avoided then we are looking at approximately a 9 hr drive which I'm sure for most is out of the question.

Your comments welcome.

Suggestion for route from Nancy to Bregenz avoiding tolls but included is the `Austrian road tax (10 days 9E) with 2 hrs on M way.

Again the options are limited with a 5hr drive time, but the route above does have just 2 hrs on M way and avoiding the Swiss road tax. If the M way is to be avoided then its a minimum 7hrs plus drive.

Again comments welcome.

Many thanks for this.
Do you fancy picking one of them and leading the group for the day?
At present we have 8 cars on day 1 and 5 cars on day 2.
I am hoping for more as yet.

Steve

After much consultation and panic stricken expressions (from my wife) we will lead day two. As stated in the initial document we will be adhering to speed limits.
