Default Considering a job in Germany

Any help/insight is appreciated. Local economy, close-by tracks, anything that can only be known by locals.

I am not in the military any longer(former Marine), but I currently do work for the government. If I were to take a job over there, I would be bringing the S2000. Thank you in advance.

Well you woul dneed to come to west of germany.

You have then 4 great race tracks in th erange of 2-3 hours.
Spa Francourchamps (belgium F1 track), Hockenheim, Nuerburgring and Nuerburgring Nordschleife!

The taffest would be finding a job.

German economy is not that great at the moment.

Eventuall yonsidering working in Luxembourg.

Depends on what you studied!

Yves

Thanks! I'll be at a US military base wherever I end up. Not sure where Ramstein AFB is exactly- that is one possibility.

in Europe strikes me as being way cool!

Hi Skip,

Ramstein is located in the south-west of Germany near to Kaiserslautern. Click here to get a map. You'll find Kaiserslautern just beside the word "Pfalz" .

For further information Click on the Airbase site. There You'll get a lot of information You probably still need.

Greetings from Mainz

Thanks, Peter! Through your links, I also saw that the Army has many centers looking for managers. I have a strong background in the bowling industry. I'm pretty lucky to have a job that I like and changes daily.

Hi Skip,

yes that's right, I would prefer the Rhein-Neckar-Area, too. If You can make a choice, than take the chance for a location anywhere between Mannheim in the North and Stuttgart in the South.

Exactly the kind of information you can't always readily get from quick internet searches! Thank you all very much. I'm getting my home ready to sell here so that I am ready to go when the time presents itself.

BTW, what rules apply to importing a US-model vehicle to Germany/Europe? Are modifications allowed?
