They're pretty rare aren't they! We didn't see one at all in 5000+ km of driving through France, Spain and Andorra last month.... aside from the ones attending our Euro S2ki meet that is! It just makes the car even more exclusive and desirable....

yep they are pretty scarce in France, although in Paris they're not as exclusive as they used to be

I just spent the last week in Geneve, Annecy, Grenoble and Lyon for work - and did not see a single S2000.

Plenty of Z3 and Miata's though. There was a pair of Z8's cruising together yesterday - saw them on the way back to Geneve for my flight home.

My rental car while visiting was a Peugeot 406 Coupe' - This was a pretty nice car, just lacking a bit on the horsepower.

I wonder why Peugeot and Renault no longer sell in the US?

There are quite a few in Paris, but even there people are surprised when they see one. [In one day I saw 2 S2000s, a vintage racing Mini Marcos (one of 25 built), 2 360 spyders, a A.M. Vantage, a Pantera GTS gr. 5, and a freakin' gorgeous Daytona]

There is one S2000 in my small home town in the French countryside, it's siverstone, a MY 00. Every time it is parked people gather around it...

I know this is OT, but how was your tour of Barcelona, Andorra (Pas de la Case, Andorre-la-Vieille) and especially, how was the track in Pau? thx,

Benjamin.

The European meet was fantastic Ben We had some real fun touring the roads in convoy watching everyone go as they see not 1 but 4 or 5 S2000s

I really enjoyed Pau Arnos circuit, it was quite challenging with a good mix of pretty fast corners and many changes of height around it. It also had a very fast chicane and a tight 1st gear hairpin which needed some delicate downhill braking for (not too bad if you rev-matched your downshifts)

I'd love to drive it again especially as it was about 27 degrees C that day! A couple of days later we drove through dense fog and snow blizzards coming up the pass from Andorra - mad extremes of temperature!

Thanks, Tif.

Living in Carcassonne (North of Andorra, East of Pau), I was decided to at least meet your group at Pau Arnos;

Sadly, work kept me from going.

If you are ever in the area, feel free to PM me: I love showing friends the roads around here.

Cheers,
Benjamin.

Hi,

Just back from the Le-mans 24 hours race, and down there they are getting more and more popular as well, I saw around 5 S2000's down there.

But it's just so nice that the car gets just as many looks, as the much more expensive performance and exclusive cars down there, like Ferarri 550 and 360, loads of 911's, Lotus super seven, Lotus elises, Bentley's, Aston Martin's, De Tomasos, Lamborghini's and Maseratti's

Just a bit tirreing showing the car to people 15 times or more a day.
