A colleague at work has recently traded in his XJS (boring - old mens car) for a XK8 compressor. We went for a spin, and he let me drive a bit too!

At more than 1600kg quite a heavy car, but the power and torque.. staggering.
When the accelerator is pressed to the floor the weight just falls away and the car surges forward. Just terrific.

ALways been a dream, but now i have had a taste of reality.

Yes, massive power. But not so good a the twisty bits. Also i feel it lacks some of the fun, wind-in-the-hair, basic motoring stuff. Thats what i love about the S2000.

But nice to have as a second car!
