Hiya guys...
Just recently joined the forum, and am picking up my S2000 in just 15 hours now!
Im based in Paris, and I just wondered if any of you knew of any manufacturers of external luggage racks to go on top of the boot. (preferably in Paris/France, but if not, then as near as possible).
I would be delighted to hear your suggestions....
(Prices would be good too!)
Cheers

Hi PariS2K,

a luggage rack is available at http://www.auco.de/ and click on "outside accessories". Unfortunately they are in Hamburg Germany, so quite far. But they do send items. I bought an "Softtop inside" overthere and they sent it to The Netherlands.

PariS2K,

Welcome to the forum, and have fun with your car.

Don't forget to be on our first meeting in Spa Francorchamps
on 28/29 April, to meet fellow stook owners.

Pancho.

Ronald: thanks for the address..ill check it out...do you happen to know if its the sort of rack that can be easily installed/uninstalled? Does it require any drilling, or can it just be slotted into place. I think I saw one of these lugguage racks on a BMW Z3, and it looked like a pretty permanent kind of thing...not exactly what im after. Ideally what id like would be a lugguage rack that can be easily fastened for those times when you are going on a motoring holiday for example (with a passenger)

Pancho: where can i find out more details about this meeting? Any idea how many people will be going...and am i still welcome, even if im not too great at speaking french? (i can speak it, im just not exactly 100% fluent!)

HI PariS2K,

I don't know the piece, but I think you can easily take
it off. Don't know whether the trunk will stil open with the rack attached. I'll also be at the Franchorchamps meeting and the only french words I know will leed me to be slapped in the face by a pretty french girl

that would be very useful if it really is removeable...especially if it can be fitted without having to get th drill out! (im not sure i could ever bring myself/trust myself to do anything that radical to my lovely machine)
regarding the meeting at the end of april in francorchamps...how exactly does it work? is it simply an opportunity to meet other S2000 drivers, or do you actually take them on the track?
please excuse my ignorance, this is all rather new to me!
and Ronald..very funny, sounds like your level of ability in french is about the same as mine! (however it has to be said that my closest friend in Paris is Dutch too, and he speaks french so well that even the french cant tell that he isnt a native!)
