Hey, that's really great news guys....and I confirm stocky from Luxembourg will be there as well. They forecast a sunny and warm day.... should be a great day!!!
I have to say we had a really great track day on the Nurburgring ....sun, a nice M5 kill (some might say the M5 driver felt asleep) and loads of beautiful sports cars (Porsche 911 GT3, GT2, Turbo, BMW Z8, M5, M3, Ferraris, Mercedes SL500 (new), Lamborghini Diablo, Lotus Elise, Opel Speedster, just 1 Honda S2000 (excluding our 4 cars of course),... and one minivan (guess it was a Chrysler).
Ronald, please do not forget to post Maartens pictures showing him stuck in the mud!!!!
Yves, I can't wait to see the movie!!!
Great day absolutely ! I took 2 more laps after Victor left while Ronald and Maarten only laped one more time, but great fun never the less. Among the kill list for me was a Subaru imprezza STI / WRX whatever, Porsche 911 and some more which I did not see
But quite sad to see all those smashed cars and bikes up there, after you left Victor the track got closed after a Elise got pretty smashed up !
Yes I took the wrong exit to the carpool parking, I ended in a sandbank. It was pure luck that the mud pool experience ended in less than 45 minutes because the car was towed by a friendly man who passed the parking. It was just 10 meters from the public road.
Now the car needs a cleaning from the sand thrown all over the back of the car by the spinning wheels, the SO2 tires lost grip totally and sunk to the bottom of the car.
We arrived at about 12:00 at Nurburg and met the other S2000 enthousiasts.
I taped the second run on the Nordschleife from Ronald's car on DV: 15 minutes total (Ronald drove the Ring in about 12 minutes, not bad for the first time). We've seen it already from the camera screen, a bit to small, but a very good impression of this infamous track and that load roaring sound from the MG Racing CAI!
No the new BMW Z4 was not seen. What a crowded place, never seen so much Porsches on one day in my whole life! I saw a yellow S2000 far away.
We must do this again and then not on a holiday, when there are not so many people.
wow .... cool .... Nurburgring! Did you guys got to watch Best Motoring's Internation volume 1? In the end, there is the footage of a prototype S2k lapping Nurburgring ... I can only imagine the grin on your faces Good job guys!!
Are you going to show us the videos? c'mon now .... please do share
