Different Oils can be used for the S2000 such as...

::: MOBIL1
::: CASTROL
::: SHELL HELIX
etc...

All fully synthetic and very good quality !

My service dealer puts in Shell Helix Ultra. It's a very expensive oil.
Remember to check the oil level regularly below 5000 KM. After that distance oil consume is reduced.

Get the right viscosity, 10W-30 or 5W-40. Don't believe that the 10W-60 stuff (great for BMWs) is optimal for this car.

I've had 0W-40, 5W-30, 10W-60, 10W-40, and 10W-30 in the car and the best results have been with the partsyn 10W-30 and 5W-40 Castrol. I have noticed double oil consumption with the full synthetics. I have 93.000km on the car and drive 150 laps of the N

I have the Honda prescribed (EU only) 0W-20, but I am hesitant to use it again. Although honestly I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary (much VTEC still eats a normal bit of oil). At that, I haven't decided what to replace it with, so I am also interested in Euro usage experiences. I am afraid 0W-20 is simply too thin for our usage needs.

Best regards,

Siepel

0W-20??? That might be for the Pilot, but everywhere else I have read, the S2000 requires a 10W-30 or 5W-40 oil!

I wouldn't be too worried about oil consumption. As long as it's well under 1L per 1000km, your engine should be ok, especially if VTECing a lot. The car will burn oil in VTEC, like on the Autobahn or on a racetrack. Besides, as you add fresh oil in the car, you are introducing clean oil
