well i went fromjune 1st till the 10th or so.... The first week was miserable... rainy and cold typical i hear of brussels. then it got really sunny and hot, atypcial but it was a nice change.

Loves
1 the history and architecture of the buildings
2 trappist beers.. yum i have friends that work for Inbev, gotta love the beer vouchers
3 food was awesome
4 people watching cafes
5 Delerium...yum
6 Mano a Mano.. ungodly tasty. oh the waitresses are smoking hot.
7. Mezzo cafe.. I like the atmosphere
8. friteland

gripes.
1. subway smells like urine all the time, especially the hallway in the central station
2. business hours of operation 10-6.. seriously wtf, sometimes i would walk around in brussels in the touristy area busy as hell on a friday and a place could be closed.. i dun get it. just not used to the hours of business
3. the amount of money not necessarily wasted but rather spent on the EU buildings( 44% income tax???CRAZY)
4. its a little expensive for vacationing.

overall I liked the vibe, though I would have loved to stay a couple of days in louven. the days that were sunny, we were in antwerp and let me say something about the amount of no bra, see through white linen pants... omg it was.... lovely...

lol, great writing Joe!!

Glad you liked most of it

The fries are great hu? Best ones in the world they say... and we don't understand why everybody calls them "french fries", it should be " belgian fries" !!
Beers are great as well Seems like you enjoyed the 2 most important products of Belgium

Not quite in Belgium, but I couldn't see a "France Sightings" thread, so here goes.

1 week in France and only saw one. Black, french plate, on Monday (24/07/06) lunchtime ish parked in front of a pub / bar near Mt St Michel.
