Default Switzerland!?

Hi to all the European S2000 owners! This summer I'll be visiting Switzerland, particularly Geneva, and I was wondering if there were any owners living in that area to help me be a good tourist I'll be spending a few days working early at a shop owned by someone my parents know but I'd like to explore on my own in the afternoon/evenings and weekends. I'll be there literally in the middle of August. So, any tips for travelling??

Thank youuuu

Hello !

I live close to Geneva by the way...

You need to chill in Geneva, see the UN, the jet d'eau, the gardens...

You could also go to Lausanne (about 45mins away) and see the olympic museum...

And why not Annecy, 35mins away, a lovely town...

get me pm's if you need

Annecy is packed with tourists in August but it's still beautiful. Geneva's nice too but it doesn't take long to see everything.

How expensive is it to take the train to some outside towns? Zurich? Bern?

Not cheap, and especially not for you with current exchange rates.

http://www.sbb.ch/en/
e.g. 154 CHF from Geneva to Zurich return 2nd class

Then use your favourite currency converter website, but make sure you're sitting down first.

You can get return flights inside Europe for less than that.

Annecy is nicer than Zurich anyway IMO. You can get there from Geneva for around 20-25 euros return I think. http://www.voyages-sncf.com

If you get bored of lakes and fancy seeing mountains and glaciers then waht about a trip to Chamonix?
