The only better feeling than moving into your new home is the feeling the day you pay it off. it is like the weight of the world is lifted off your shoulders. Good luck and may there be much happiness under your new roof.
That day will come. I just had a client come into some inheritance and they were all ready to invest some more with me. I told them to take at least 10% and do something fun because you're not promised another day. They'll also have enough left to pay off their home. So one check later and they own their home and taking a vacation to CA. I told them they'd dance a jig in the front yard once they knew the house was truly theirs so I'm expecting video.
Congrats again

That was my present to myself on my 50th BD, to pay off the condo. It does feel good. We had a 30 year mortgage and paid it off in 15. I think we paid $600 extra every month and when we refinanced for a lower rate, we continued to pay the old amount. Pretty soon we wer down to like $20K and Just finished it off.
Kudos and Congrats on the new home purchase. All of us in the construction industry fully appreciate your alleginace to keep things rolling through these tough times.
Keep us all informed as to how the progress is going. Who knows, it may "Stimulate" others to do the same thing .......................

Congratulations, you will never have a better time to wire surround sound. So much easier to do it before the sheet rock goes up.
Roger: this is being built out in southeast clermont. east of 27 and a little bit south of that nice golf course out there.
Captain: i actually just sent in my check to pay off my S2000 (less bills for when im moved out = great lol) so i know the feeling you're talking about. except its on a MUCH smaller scale lol
Matt: oh there will be a party! in fact, we might have to have a few seperate parties to accomodate all of our friends and family
zacksdad: i will definitely be updating this thread, at the very least, on a weekly basis. im encouraging everyone i know to go buy a house. there is no time like right now, after all

I'm with you there Chip. We were able to do this a few years ago and it is a comforting feeling for sure.
