Default 05 S2K vs 07 8thGen Civic SI

So this week i went to Daytona for spring break and my buddy has a 8thGen Civic SI so we decided to do a highway run i thought i was gonna be able to pull on him but for some reason he was right there neck n neck with me. BUT he does have a full exhaust system TB spacers CAI and 75 shot of nitrous but he said he didnt spray... im not sure if he did when we stopped i asked did he spray he said he was power shifting could power shifting really make that big of a difference and i know its hella bad for the tranny but just wondering what you guys think did he spray? oh and yea im completely stock

He didn't spray - they ARE quick and quicker if you just do a simple tune! IVTEC is the bomb and when Honda introduces the variable exhaust (primaries) DAMN!

Remeber the SI has a shorter drive train getting more of its power to the road too. The longer the drive train the more loss of power

You might want to post this up in the Street Encounters forum, you'll definately get your answers there... I've only really raced one other car in the S and that was a Saturn Sky Redline... which he pulled on me... therefore I need to go FI... my old SI on the other hand was a different story..
