Default 1 1/2 weeks... and now this

Story goes, and im venting, i've had my S for a week and a half. Then Friday,of last week, my motor starts to act up. random shut offs etc etc. So i take it to Honda this past Monday.. i wait for 5hrs, and then i get a phone call from Honda... "well your car did what u said it does and now it wont start blah blah blah".... in my head im like " " so i have a tow truck pick up the car and take it to my father's dealership to have my mechanic look at it...

i get there today around 1pm and ask him "so whats up with my car" and he replies, in a VERY southern way, "your S*** is blown up, and i cant find a replacement motor so we have to rebuild the whole thing...." and i proceed to and went home.

i feel better now that i got to vent

You may want to give Todd @ 2 nr werks a call. He has rebuilt his share of blown engines. He will have some good insight for you.

Did they say what is wrong with the motor.....blown up is pretty generic

Where did you buy the car from?

I am thinking some Lemon Law might be in order.

If you decide to build, 2NRwerks, myself, and others on this board can direct you to parts at good prices.

We are here to help.

How many miles on this motor?

Who did you buy it from, private owner or, dealer?

Do you know any of the history of this car? (Honda can provide any of the documented history that was done in dealerships)

Did you run a carfax?

yah ... i never did like the term 'blown motor'. The only thing i can think that came from was maybe a head gasket.

You may want to check with 4bang6 about his new motor ... may be an option for ya versus rebuilding yours.

ok, to answer all questions.

i said blown motor, but its really called "seized", in which i gotta rebuild the whole motor. or replace it. blown was just me venting.

i got the car from the Greater Tampa Bay Auto Auction, becuase my father is a car dealer (lucky me right? ). The history of the car is not provided when buying at an auto auction, the dealer selling the car is supposed to tell the auction if there was anything wrong with the car. (which im pretty sure he failed to do )

Lemon law does not apply to my situation.

and the car is being rebuilt by a professional, and going to be sold. and ill be in the market, once agian, for anthor car (parents dont like the idea of a "rebuilt" anything so they take safety precautions, to keep me happy and safe... Spoiled? maybe but they just wanna watch out for me )

no there were to indications of the car becoming a problem. and thank you for offering help in my situation GREATLY appreciated.

all in all i will have my S

Sounds like some clown drove it into the ground and then traded it in.
