2008 SPGP Decal/Parade/Race Slideshow
I put together a little slideshow from the 2008 St. Pete Grand Prix Promotion. I did the Decal Day in 2007 and the Parade Lap in 2008. Both were an S2KI experience that, everyone that has participated in will agree, is a very cool thing.
For those S2KI members that aren't familiar with the SPGP, this promotion is not exclusively for Tampa/St. Pete members, it is an event that all Central Floridians may participate in. The past few years we have had a couple of us in Orlando promote the event with our S2000's.
If anyone has any questions just pm us and we will be glad to share our prior SPGP experience with you.
Thanks,
Thraak

Awesome job but one subtle correction...the HGPSP is open to ANY S2000 anywhere as long as their car is spot on perfect condition and that the Parade Lappers (aka "the Sweet 16" normally) are available Thursday and Sunday. It used to be just a Sunday requirement but the past 2 events a Thursday VIP parade through downtown St. Pete was added. The addition of the Thursday event has made the participation be largly composed of TBA s2kers just for geographic reasons but we've had them from all over Florida and even a GA rep in the books.
Now...back to your slideshow.
Even though 2008 was the year "Mr. Wonderful" and I about had it out in the lobby of the Vinoy because he screwed us on the RV spot Rob and crew really pulled out the details and made the best of it. Thank God for Rob. I'll stick to securing decals, tickets, parking, and any other goodies they'll give us. Frontline is not my gig thus the perfect partnership for a number of years.
Okay...the slideshow. Completely in awe of your work. My mind works that way I just have no clue how to create these types of things. Awesome, awesome, awesome job. I can't wait to show the kids because as of last year even my 7-year old daughter is all into the IRL.

Well, thanks alot.....but it was so simple.
11 months ago, I switched to Mac. The program is IMovie, which comes in the Ilife09 suite with all Macs. When it comes to audio/video, there is nothing like a Mac. They do have a $200 program called Final Cut Express which would really be awesome.
It took 5 minutes to choose the pics and 2 minutes to choose the song. 2 minutes to render and about 30 minutes to upload.
You can do quite a bit with IMovie. You can choose different pan points, create titles and headers, choose transitions, or alter the speed. You can create slideshows with stills or make video clips from live video.
I just threw the pics in at random and that was it.
Just trying to stir some excitement!!

Well,
Thank You. However, many of those great pics were taken by CaptainBK and JamesVVS. I just dusted them off and forgot to give credit where credit is due. Sorry.
