Lets see...put the stock rims back on, cover the cooler, replace the hood, put the stock exhaust back on....yeah, you can make it.

I'm a tad worried myself but nothing like what you have going on. I still have my stock wheels so that's no problem but like you I have cleared lights with lids. Hope something like that is okay.

I have a feeling quite a few of the first 30 are getting knocked out with the stock comment.

I *think* that there is a huge difference between an owner who has upgraded their wheels and some engine mods versus someone who added on a carbon fiber hood, strakes, wing etc.

I'm not saying that it's bad but potentially not what Honda wants to showcase.

Just my 2 cents.

i say we wait for more details. i'm pretty sure there aren't 30 "perfectly stock" s2000's on this board close enough to attend. i have some minor mods - smoked headlights, smoked sidemarker, 2004 taillights and exhaust tips, windshield tape removed. to the casual observer they don't appear to be non-stock. i have the major areas still stock - no body, wheel, or exhaust mods.

i think it would be pretty boring to see a group of cars that only differed by their color and occupants. i was hoping to have the hardtop on (even more stunning in spa yellow pearl), but apparently this "stock" part is not allowed.

I think the whole "parade" aspect and the fact we may be shuttling race drivers and or "celebrities" in this parade negates the hardtop idea. They probably want the tops down so they can be seen as much as possible.

persoanlly I would like to turn over my driving duties to the race driver i get coupled with and have him rip the course in my car to see how it should be driven LOL

It is whack, I agree.... but it is honda's gig and its up to them what they want to put on display for the thousands there and the countless others watching on ESPN.

I agree with liquid IQ we should wait to hear something more definitive. If I do not get more details before the event, I will not be showing up down there in the dark so to say, to be turned away for having black rims or shaved emblems. Most of us will probably want to know much more about what is kosher and what isn't before we commit 100%.

I am excited to be a part of the whole thing but I do not like the idea of being turned away for being too much of an enthusiast for this model.

Oh well! Honda may not be approaching their promoting the S2000 they way we want, and that might be why people don't know what our cars are. Personally I think they are missing the boat but it's their call.

Hobbie, If you really want in I think we could fix everything but the wing quickly.

Personally I am not too concerned.

No Jeff I am ok But if you are going let me know.. I will buy the same package as you that way we can hang out.. I was just hoping, I am the 2nd runner up. I am not even in the top 30. But there is always a cancellation.. It would be nice if they would put our 2 cars all the way in the back to show 1 Supercharged and 1 Turboed S2000..
