Default Another new S2000 owner

Just bought my 02 back in early March. Have put approx 2500 miles on it since then.
LOVE the car tremendously-but since having it for almost 2 months now I have a few questions:

1) I live in the Orlando area-where is the best shop/garage for all the scheduled maintance to be performed?
2) I bought the car with one kinda major blemish on the right rear fender panel. The best way to describe it is that it looks like a golfball/egg hit the panel and the paint is cracked in a circular area. Any suggestions for the best body shop in the Orlando area? I've used National Imports (John Young Parkway-Old Winter Garden Road area in the past-did an excellant job on my 92 Nissan SER)
3) Sometimes, when coming to a stop, (the transmission is not in gear, and the clutch is not in) the rev's drop almost to zero-any ideas as to what that may be?
It does not matter if the AC is on or not-it happens.
4) Very similar to the above-but sometimes in traffic when I start to accelerate in 1st gear, again the revs drop almost to stalling and the car jerks and bucks.
5) No mods yet-but if you had $500-1000 to start with-what would you do? The tires themselves were replace before I bought the car and they have less than 5k miles on them so I hope to get at 10k-15k miles out of them before I have to buy new tires.

If any of the above questions were answered in any thread, please direct me to those threads. I have read a number of them but not every one of them.

Thanks in advance for your assistance,

David

Sorry, can't answer 1-4 since I'm not from Orlando and have had not problems with my 02.

As far as mods, some kind of CAI may reduce your bogging problems, get you better mpg, and give a nice sound during Vtec. An xbrace is a good purchase also, very big difference. Mods depend on your goal, different look or more towards performance. As far as performance, there's not much to do beside SC or turbo. CAI and exhaust will bring not much gain, but the sound difference to your ears is much worth it. Xbrace will bring a big difference in handling right from the start. That would be my first mod.

Thanks Dave, for the quick response.

As far as the mods go, I am not looking for the 'visual' clues-no 2' tall rear spoiler or a front spoiler than is less than 1" above the ground!

I like stealth-I can't afford a turbo or SC system right now-but what I am looking for are mods that either increase HP or Torque at a reasonable cost. Handling so far is fine--eventually I would like to address that, maybe by new rims/tires, shocks etc. But that is down the road.

Thanks again,

David

BTW--what is CAI? (Please forgive the newbie!!)

CAI is a cold air intake, like this...

It replaces your stock intake box. You can spend big bucks or have Troy do his ghetto mod and get you the same set up for less cash. It gets cooler air to your engine. Some say better torque and mpg. I know it helps out with this Florida heat and bogging. I'd say xbrace and cai first for performance. For looks go with Honda spoiler and lip. You for sure should clear your corners. Exhaust is also a must to make your car sound mean!

Dave--post Troy's number/contact info please.

As far as the sound system-I do want to add XM radio to my car-any suggestions? I know the 04's have it-but can anyone recommend an XM unit or shop to install in the Orlando area?

Thanks,

Dave

Oh, as far as XM radio, Pop^Top (S2Ki screen name, from Tampa), had XM. He loved it. He had the XM faceplate put/cut into his fold down stock S2K radio door.
