Well, this really sucks. As some of you already know Saturday I had a little "traction issue" where I went ass-out and slammed a wheel into a curb. It was very strange as I wan't even pushing it through the turn. I was making a long sweeping left hand turn when I felt the ass-end come around a little bit. I have had it happen before and have corrected it easily. Well, this time I overcorrected and spun myself in the other direction, which then sent my driver side rear wheel into the curb with some force. That wasn't the end of it though, the wheel went over the curb and I made another 360 in the grass. I came to a stop with my front wheels in the street and the rears on the grass. I was like Holy $hit I did not want to get out of my car because I thought it was all smashed up maybe even totaled. When I got out I was actually relieved some what that the body was barely effected, only my front lip was scratched up but not broken. I some how was lucky as all hell because I did a 360 in between a huge realty sign and a street sign some how missing them both. My insurance is going to check it out tomorrow and I am hoping all that is wrong with it is a broken axle/control arm, and brake rotor. Also I am hoping they will compensate me somehow for the rims instead of buying me new stockers. Here are some pics of where it happened notice the to objects I went right in between somehow. I am really bummed. Need to drink to ease pain now.............

I hope everything gets resolved and I hope the insurance company cover your wheels. If that happen to me, I'll be crying.

Glad you are okay. The car doesn't look too bad (will compared to others in our group). Hope things work out with the insurance.

I don't know if I want to go on a drive with Eric behind me.

Thanks, when I hear from the insurance folks I will update with details. And I was on the verge of tears several times that night.

I'm so sorry about what happened Steven. I still dont know why it happened. I didn't feel like we were going too fast at all. I kept thinking, "That should have been me." I will have to drive in front for now on. You are not the first s2000 to lose controll in front of me . Was there any damage done to the rear bumper from pulling you on to the street? I wish you the best of luck with the repairs.

Nothing to be sorry about Eric. I appreciate the wish of luck. The fender was a bit pushed up and the side of the bumper pushed out a little. That was SOOOO painful watching that, I thought he was going to pull my car apart. I hope to be back soon, hopefully with a new set of wheels.

In spite of the damage, you had incredible good fortune in not hitting either of those signs. They really ARE close together.

In comparison with the damage which might have occured, you were fortunate -- especially since you were not injured.

We're all rooting for the insurance company to come through for you.

Steven

We must be cursed or something. Anyways, glad the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. Best of luck with the repairs.
