Anyone interested in a Dyno Day in SW Florida?
Performance Motorcars (http://performancemotorcars.com) is offering Dyno Days for interested car clubs. The shop and dyno facility are located in Naples, Florida, at 3951 Mercantile Avenue.
Performance Motorcars has a state of the art, Clayton VTT eddy current chassis dyno. The dyno, which is in-ground, incorporates a fully integrated five-gas exhaust analyzer, reading air fuel ratios at specific loads. The VTT is truly a virtual test track, and the equipment is more accurately described as a rolling road, rather than a horsepower and torque dyno. The tuning possibilities with this equipment are endless.
We are looking for input as to when to schedule your event: we suggest a Saturday sometime early October through the first part of November. The best readings are usually achieved early in the day (when ambient temps are low), so we would suggest a morning to early afternoon event. We could plan to accommodate 25 - 30 participants at each event. A tech inspection would be required and would be completed prior to the dyno run. The package price per vehicle would include the tech inspection, 3 dyno runs, and printed results for bragging rights! One half of the proceeds of the event will be donated to charity. Cost for the day will be $50 per participating vehicle. A minimum of 10 pre-registered participants are required for an event to be scheduled.
I would appreciate your ideas, comments, and suggestions on planning and scheduling the event.
