What is difference between AP1 or AP2?

I kep seeing this on difference post and don't know what it means.

AP1 = 2000 - 2003 with 9000rpm 2.0.
AP2 = 2003 - now with 4000rpm diesel like 2.2. Chill guys I'm kidding!

 

Like he said, AP2 means, basically, that it's 2004 or newer, has a 2.2 liter engine, an 8300 rpm redline, and a few other relatively minor additions/upgrades that people like to squabble over from time-to-time.

AP1/AP2 as a reference point is just a part of the VIN #, if that's what you meant.

ap1 has a shorter steering ratio beside CR, lighter flywheel, no clutch delay valve, no LED tail lamp, No traction control, one cup holder, no mircofiber filter, AP1 more of a race car ap2 more of a street car

 

^ Plus some minor exterior changes to bumpers and wheels

 

^plus bump steer and less RWHP as shown by side by side dyno's of the two and less torque...

 

Will AP2 front bumper fit on AP1 car?
