AP2 Bumper - Fog Light Question?
Just curious to see if anyone had any information as to why Honda designed the AP2 Bumpers with the two black inserts on either side of the open grille? They are filled with a black plastic "cap". Did they make any kind of foglight only available in other Countries for this cutaway? Any pics of folks who may have modified this themselves?
Here is a link to an EBAY listing that shows an item being sold for these inserts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-S2000-...fd5dac&vxp=mtr

Honda never made foglights for it but you can buy a set on ebay that fit the spaces like a glove. I installed a set of theze myself recently.
I put a yellow vinyly overlay on mine, not everyones cup of tea but i like the look.

I want to say I saw the holes, on the AP1 at least, were for brake cooling ducts. I think I saw a factory part/number for this on the AP1s but a quick Google search and no luck
The AP2 holes are not as friendly for duct work ... just ask Willie Gee and Composimo
Evil, I like your yellow lights ALOT!!

Well, not for my brakes anyway. But it makes a perfect entry point for air into a CAI.
Just sayin'
In the racing forum there's a guy who is making custom brake vents with those holes. They actually look great!

Ebay used to be awash with lights like this and many seemed to be just LEDs stuck in the plates covering the holes. I think there's more to fog lights than just slapping lights on the front of the car and they need reflector housings to focus the light. At least my vehicles with factory fog lights are this way.
Personally I think the yellow light fixtures look horrible and distract from the appearance of the car.
Aesthetically yellow light (when On) would be fine as opposed to yellow fixtures but this is purely a matter of taste which is personal (rumor has it some guys prefer light beer!). Yeah, I replaced the yellow side turn signals with clear lenses and yellow lights behind them.
Much of the "science" regarding yellow fog lights seems to have been repudiated with any advantages reduced to near insignificance and even the French abandoned yellow headlights over 25 years ago. I had a set of 7" yellow, concave lens, non-sealed beam headlights out of a 1962 Renault I used on several cars just to be different. 7" headlights gives you an idea how long ago this was.
