Default AP2 Door panel upgrade in 2000 AP1

Today I installed a set of AP2 door panels I picked up from John to complete my stereo system upgrade. As you guys know, having the tweeters up high and separated from the woofers makes a huge difference in the quality of the sound. The AP2 door panels also have deeper scooped armrests and a little netted door pocket too so, it is a pretty nice upgrade overall to the 00 S.
The system is pretty simple but gives a quality sound with plenty of volume for top down driving

Everything was plug N play with the use of a simple wire harness for the head unit ,

Alpine CDE-124SXM Head unit

Alpine in-line amp KTP-445

Boston Pro 6.5” components

I always wanted to get the Ap2 door panels for my 01 because of the pockets and tweeters. I've got to get me a set of those!!

Thanks John, I used black Fusion plastic paint to paint the silver trim on the door handles so that they would not stand out in the all black interior trim of the 2000, I also did the tweeter pod bezels because they were scratched up a little.

One of the best upgrades I made to the interior of my '01. The stereo system in the earlier cars was so lacking, especially with the top down.

How is the black on the panels compared to the dash? My black 03 seats are a bit off in color compared to my doors and dash, I was told 00-01 black is darker.

To me the match is right on to the dash and the rest of the interior The seats, steering wheel, and armrest are leather and everything else is vinyl. The leather in the car will have a slight different shade of black than the vinyl in the car.
