On April 27th and 28th, it looks like Equipe Rapide is going to have their first 2002 event in Pompano, at Pompano Park, which is right off 95 and Atlantic Blvd. The cost is nominal, usually $40/day. You only need a long sleeve shirt and pants. They have some loaner helmets usually. I think I'm going to buy a cheap motorcycle helmet before the event.

I'm probably going to go to the Speed Trail (faster autox, which I like better) on Sunday. Anyone else planning on going to either event?

I'll be there , most likely on Saturday for the autocross. Ole (Overdrive OP) is another board member that regularly attends these events. He and another S2000 driver are pretty fast! I'm interested to see if I've improved since last year.

These events are a lot of fun and I encourage anyone interested in REALLY learning about their car to attend. But be aware that there is a speed trial drivers school on Saturday afternoon. I'm pretty sure that you have to attend that to compete on Sunday. See you there!

As far as helmets go, I'd recommend biting the bullet and getting one that is Snell approved. That allows participation in driver's education classes on the track, and after all - it's your head!

 

I've done the driver's education session before, so i think I'm ok on that. I think your right, I'm just gonna bite the bullett and get an SA helmet. Oh well. It's only money!

So you don't run the speedtrials CoralDoc? Why do you prefer the autoxes? I havent ran an ER autocross only the speed trials.
