Default Bmw Z4

Just test drove the new MBW Z4.......its roughly the same size as s2000 but much roomier inside..seats are wider and softer..the stick throw is longer and soft....ride is softer...clutch feel was long ....trunk space larger.....sound system not that good even with premium system.....rides like a cruiser rather than a sports car..Does not have the road feel of the s2000...over all I liked it mainly due to enhanced seating area for my 6'2" frame...I actually had to move the seat up...sticker on the 2.5 model with lots of extras was over 40K!

I recently drove a 3.0 Z4 and the damn thing MSRP'd for a whopping $47k!

Read more on my drive here, if interested:

Yea, I'm writing it off...

I've had an early deposit on one, "just in case". I was discouraged by the looks, and even more discouraged by BMW's direction of moving it "upmarket" (read more expensive and luxurious, at the expense of handling).

I was hoping for a next generation Z3 with a great motor, fixed suspension, light weight and great looks.

Instead we got a dumbed down roadster version mini 7 series...

There is no symetry to the lines on the front of that car. It's horrible. I hate that unbroken hood line cutting all the way across the front. Then you have the harsh, angular lines of the headlights next to the soft, rounded kidneys. None of it works together.

Those rims look like a cup-cake pan, too (shakes head in disgust)...

Yuck... That car is for old ladies...

Styling is ugly, I hope BMW isnt moving down that path. The front looks odd, and the line are just ugly.

I would rather take and S and a Civic EX beater instead of that heap of shit for $47,000.

Not to mention there's any many Z3's out there as there are Miata's. I assume the same will be true for the Z4...
