Default Chin Event

I just wanted to say that I had a damn good time this weekend at the Chin Event. Even though Warren's supercharger decided to stop working, Alex's miata didnt feel like racing this weekend and Rene saying " Frank heres fifty bucks go find an autozone and buy me some pads so I can keep racing, all in all it was a great race weekend. Thanks to Rene for taking me on some track rides, damn that boy can drive. Skip Barber FTMFW. Thanks to the Porsche guys for making me want to be rich so that I can fly my helicopter to the track race my car and then get in my helicopter and go back home. Oh and Alex just remember the starving desert animal......
Next time we need to get more people out there, the more people out the more fun it would be. I know Ill be driving the next Chin event. Just felt like sharing.

Glad you enjoyed it. The next Florida event for Chin is up at Sebring on March 22, and we're back at Homestead July 19-20.

NASA will hold its next event at Homestead on 19-20 April. Run groups are shorter, but there is a fun race group to watch.

Sorry I missed it, still trying to find a way to not break my idler puller bracket on the SC. What happened to Warren's SC? For me, I need to isolate the pivot point and friction point evenly or the metal on metal vibration will crack the bracket arm again .

If I can't track this reliably, will remove the SC and track it NA. Made the decision to make the S a bit safer with Roll Bar, race seat, harness, and HANs, but probably won't have those in place until mid-summer.

How did Alex's SC hold-up on the track? I'll be down at Homestead in April - both days if I can get signed off on Sat.

The seal on the back of the charger came out.. spewed oil.. and appeared to eat the bearings.

when i get it back to the mech will take a look at it.

Not sure what happened, lost power and brought her in. Two sparkplugs were hit by something and had no gap, compression test looks grim.... 150, 170, 205, 210

I'll be in a borrowed spec miata for Road Atlanta in 2 weeks and not sure what I'm doing for the Chin March 22nd event yet..
