Clear Bra
Just adding the response that I got back directly from Ryan this afternoon, these are his comments & opinion. Hope all of this helps...........
[I][B]Hello.
The lumar film is not near as good as the 3M paint protection film. The lumar looks only clearer when held up to the light. But once it is applied to the surface it is not clearer at all. In fact, they may be very similar at the initial installation but after several months the dirt and debri will get embedded into the Lumar film. Lumar film does not have any Clear Coat finish like the 3M does. The lumar is also slightly thinner due to not having the clear coat. The clear coat that is on the 3M blocks out the dirt and debri from embedding into the film. The 3M is also smoother when waxed than any other brand.
Also, not true about the UV protection. It fades the same.
I can sell either brand, but I do not warranty the labor on the Lumar. To many has come back to me. If you had to get a 2nd choice beside 3M I would go with Avery, they have a similar clear coat finish, theres is called a

Seeing is believing! I have had mine on a black car for two years and it is perfect. No dirt imbedded.
I have seen many 3m product on cars and it is like orange peel and yes, like the link shows 3m is yellowish.
It doesn't look like Ryan installs it from the site. The guys at Nushine do and do alot. Maybachs, Range Rovers, Dimmit Cadillac uses them so does several Porshe dealers. You should see them put it on. They get it perfect, no dust under it and they will waste material if something isn't perfect.
Like I said, shop around, look at LLumar cars and 3M cars. Don't take the word of the man trying to sell it to you. His site doesn't mention LLumar. LLumar has a LIFETIME warranty against turning yellow, cracking bubbling, or peeling.
Nushine can also sell you the kit if you want to do it your self but trust me, it is worth having them do it. They spent all day on my car doing the custom bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, lights, and side skirts. They also did my tinting.
Here is their link. Nushine
PS. I don't make a dime from this.

Since I live in Wesley Chapel. I seriously would love to see this s2000 up close. To this day I have never seen a black car with Lumar film not turn colors. Since it is black, it will not turn yellow, but it will become cloudy. If indeed it hasn't turned cloudy, I would consider re-visiting using Lumar on White and Black cars.
If you read the link correctly, David at Speedfilm replaced the white S2000 with 3M film due to the Lumar turning yellow. I can also send you 10 different vehicles of the lumar film going bad.
To the other questions.
I have been installing the clear bras for 4.5 years and I have tried all kinds of films. The only films that ever came back to me was Lumar and a couple Venture film kits. I install the kits at Dimmit Cadillac as well as another installer which installs Lumar, he is also very good. If you click on www.xpel.com and then enter your zip code you can find both of our names there. So far we have both installed over 1000 kits. Either place is a great installation center. I agree, do your research first before buying the film. I get nothing more out of selling 3M film versus Lumar. Lumar is an easier install due to is being thinner. I just don

I have a clear bra on my Black M3. Mine is becoming very cloudy at the bottom and no wax on solution fixes it. Anyone know the cost or procedure for removal?
I don't know about 3m.
