So i wanna clear my headlights. Have any of ypu guys here in the miami south florida region done this. Know a shop that will do or can offer an hints on doing it ? Thanks Angel
I did mine, I'm not in south fla, I'm close to Tampa.
I will tell you this much, it's a loooong job. Figure on about 6-8 hours min.
Not too hard to take them out, you remove the whole front fascia, then a few more bolts and brackets to get the lights themselves out. I have jpg copies of the service manual pages on removing the fascia and headlights somewhere if you need them.
Basicly, just use a heat gun ( a hair dryer doesn't get hot enough) and heat up the evil black goo that holds the housing together, while not overheating enough to melt the housing itself. I used a screwdriver to scrape the hot goo out of the cracks. Afteryou have removed as much goo as possible, then try to heat up the whole seam all the way around the light at the same time and pull it apart. Oh yeah, and there are little plastic locking tabs you need to pay attention to and unsnap as well.
After that, its just a couple of screws to remove the orange peices.
Then you get to heat up the black crud and press the parts back together and seal the heck out of it with black windshield silicone sealant.
It's all pretty straight forward and not really rocket science, but it requires a LOT of patience and work.
If you're like me, you'll get one done and think "what the heck have I got myself into?"
but in the end, it's worth it.

Please PM me and let me know if and when your going to get them done... I would love to see how it's done to see if I want to do them or just buy the JDM housings.
