there is a forum on here about someone wanting to install a clutch by themselves. but anywayz there was someone who typed out the step by step instructions on how to do it by yourself. wondering if someone knew exactly where it was at on here...

Wow, awesome post reference -- that should do it! Good luck man, two of my buddies did a clutch and shift fork swap on one of their Accords in like 6 hours with just a jack and 2 stands, and a decent set of tools. Just start as early as possible, it gets to be a real pain if you run out of light.

I am pretty sure its a little more involved than in an accord (RWD vs. FWD). Takes at least 1-1.5 days at a shop with a lift. If you can be without the car, go for it...

Honda says it takes 7 hours with a lift, and that's doing it completely by the book. There are ways to shorten the process a little bit, but if you know what you're doing two guys can easily have it done in 6 hours (that almost makes it sound like it's NOT a PITA ).

I don't see why it would take longer to do this job than the Accord job, I brought it up b/c they replaced the shift forks so they actually pulled the entire transmisson down when they did the job, so it's actually a longer process than what you really need to do on a RWD car to just swap a clutch.
