Thanks! It was an UGLY game, but it worked. Now if we can only solve this pesky Offensive Coordinator thing.... Word around here is that we are stealing LSU's Jimbo Fisher after the year, with the Offensive Line coach from West Virginia and the Receiver's Coach from USF also coming in (all three coincidentally worked on the same staff under Saban's NC team).

Hope you are now a USC fan, as if Jimbo falls through, Sarkisian (USC QB coach / assistance OC) is second on the list.

No, always been one of the few FSU fans here on the left coast...Don't really care for the west coast style. I started following FSU back in the mid 80's when I was in high school.

If FSU is able to get Jimbo Fisher, the guy I think it will most greatly affect is Xavier Lee. His offensive style likes to feature a mobile quarterback...We'll just have to wait and see.

 

Exactly. And XL turned LSU down for FSU. Jimbo was one of his biggest fans.

Have you heard to DeVontrey Richardson? He is a redshirt freshman QB that warchant.com is saying will contend for the starting position next year. He has the arm of lee, but with better legs. If Jimbo can actually PROGRESS a QB, he can be great.

As far as Sarkisian, USC runs a Pro-style offense with most plays coming from the I or Pro sets (2 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB). A LOT of playaction....this is how their receivers get open most the time.

I will keep you updated, as I have a membership to warchant.com. Rumor has it we will be getting Trickett from WV only if Jimbo committs. Lawrence Dawsey is coming up from USF (already a done deal). So, at least our receivers should be able to catch something other than a cold next season!
