Default DIY rota wheels!

well guys ive been riding on these rotas for a month and im getting kinda tired of looking at them. ive always hated the black rim w/chrome lip and this wheels doesnt make any difference so anyways i decided to spice things up for a little bit!.

Attention! DIY spray paint wheels! lol

Materials used

-Duplicolor metallic base
-Duplicolor Anodized Blue
-Newspaper
-masking tape/painters tape
-Rustoleum Clear
-index cards
-cardboard

step1. Clean the wheels with rag, remove everything make sue you get into creases!

step2. Mask off the center wheel with newspaper, then with masking tape go around the wheel

see the chrome!

Step3. spray the base over the wheel you dont really need to sand the wheel i never have and every wheel ive had never chipped!

cans used!

step4. Spray the anodized blue, light coats, 10 min wait in between coats, 3 coats of blue!

once blue on base!

STep5. do all wheels, wait an hour or 2 for dry time, take off the masking tape, clear the whole so everything can be on the same level (less probability of chips)

VuaLLA!!

AND NOW THE PICSS!

Ill take better pics tommorrow morning Haters welcome!

lol i already know 99% of you guys hate them but hey! its my car in the end =o)

update!

took some pics at a park on saturday i still think they look better in person, i guess getting the anodize effect is hard w/o photoshop, oh well heres the pics!!

Tight work. Very nice IMO. Black wheels or white wheels with blue lips FTW. Hope to see your car at the Thurs meet.

I like them

for me it would depend on how well the tape off worked and how professional the job looked once completed.

I like the look of them

They look original but won't last. They WILL chip over time and imagine what the lip is gonna look like the first time you change tires. A plus for effort though.

I would have liked it better the other way around I think, with blue centers, leaving the polished lip.
If you hated black wheels with chrome lip, why did you have them?
