Default Drew fell victim to snap oversteer...

so im sitting at home and receive a phone call from drew (awphotographi) tonight... hes flipping out about something.. mind you he just left our house, anyways his first words to me are " you're going to be pissed at me " so first thing i assume is he blew up the S2K... lol so he gets calmed down and proceeds to tell me that he lost control of the car getting onto the interstate and the car is down in a reveen... so i scramble to get into our truck and go yank the car out... when i get there i see the marks and see the car about 15 feet down the embankment.. so after looking over the car and seeing that its ok i get it out and get the car into the light for further observation.. THE CARS FINE!!! he tells me what happened and yet another driver has fallen victim to snap oversteer!!! luckily him and the car are ok.. just a flat tire from the dirt pushing the tire off the bead... and to the a**hole that was behind him that didn't stop to see if he was ok, GET SCREWED!!!

Yup , Tonight I felt a feeling that I never want to experience again . The thought of possibly the next time I saw my car it would be all smashed up sitting in a tow yard somewhere. I just got a little too throttle happy coming on to the interstate and with the cold weather the car was pulling very well !! It spun all the way through first going up the on ramp and I controlled that well . So I tagged second and all hell broke loose ( along with the tires ) I tried correcting it and completely over corrected it and with that said I was head on with a ditch , So I spun the steering wheel all the way to the left to get the car sideways instead of going head on with the ditch and smashing the front end of the S2000. So , thank god the only thing that happened was the front tire came off the bead and tomorrow morning all I have to do is pull the rim off and take it to Discount tire

Same exact thing happened to me a few years ago when I was a newbie to my AP1. You'll be a lot more cautious, and by extension experienced, the next time you feel throttle happy.

Remember - DON'T LIFT!!!

Wow. We're all happy you're ok. That situation has claimed a few S2000 drivers (especially the earlier model years.)

I too had an incident almost exactly like that just 3 years ago. I'll laugh alot more if I find out it was the same ramp

Looking forward to hearing the story first-hand tomorrow night

lol yea his inexperience has taught him a lesson. thankfully it didnt hurt him (or the S) in the process... guess its time to take him to a parking lot and teach him a few things... lol..
