Default Dyno Day update

So far this is what I have found out ....
To my surprise, most of the Dyno shops are not really willing to deal. I contacted 5 shops and it appears that Fast Times Dyno in Ft. Lauderdale has the best deal. Basically, he will allow us all the time we want at $100/hour. I think with 8- 10 cars we would be completed in 3 hours tops - 2 if we push it. If we get 8 cars for 3 hours you are looking at $37.50 a car - not bad IMO. Most other shops charge around $65-75 for 3 pulls.

Let me know what you think. They are only open on Saturdays when they are not racing - he also mentioned that they have night hours - maybe a Friday night would work?

So far, I have the following people interested:

1) me
2) Jvils
3) doldandrus
4) angel
5) Mav
6) pizzaboy (maybe)
7) Chris
8) CoralDoc

Please let me know what you think.

-Jason

Night hours i think would be best...a Friday sounds good. Plus it's cooler at night...bound to help the numbers a tad.

Looks like this coming Friday night (8/2) and 8/16 both will work. If we are serious, we will need to give them a few day notice.

So, let me know what you think.

Since I'm not really hearing from many people, I suggest we move the date a week or two down the road. Also, I finally heard back from Mustang Specialties. They will give us a club rate of $50 a car 3-4 pulls ... this may work out better due to not being rushed and trying to get X amount of cars dyno'ed in 2 - 3 hours. Something to think about ... let me know what you think.

$50 for 4 pulls is not bad. Do you know what kind of dyno it is ?

That's true, I've heard some machines are much better than others (not that I know either way). And a good operator is important, too.
