OK, I'm thinking about a new cat back exhaust system and have narrowed it down to either an HKS Hi-Power or an Invidia V4. Which is better, which is louder? Thoughts?

I have said this a million times

HKS is the best sounding exhaust hands down. No drone, quiet when it needs to be nice and throaty when it wants to be.

IF you are not concerned with back pressure, you can remove the rear resonator tube and cap the hole and have the very best sounding exhaust IMHO.

Invidia is nice and loud but it has a killer drone and is is very loud at WOT.....it looks better IMHO though especially with Ti tips

 

Primo have you heard the V4?

No drone and it is not loud at all. It is the only exhaust I have heard that I like more than the HKS

I loved my Invidia V2 but non-enthusiasts always complained when in my car....moms was the worst

I have owned the HKS and the invidia....barring the fact i have not heard the V4 my advice is the HKS...had the HKS had Ti tips or Ti cans and tips I would have never gotten rid of it

 

I have a HKS and love it,nice sound when drive and its like unleaching the beast when u open it up....lol

 

I would like to hear the V4 Invidia. We just drove up to the mountains and even with the "butt plugs" I am still deaf after the trip.....anyone in the area have a v4? Would love to go for a ride.

Invidia v2 in VTEC is nearly a religous experince

 

the V4 (invidia Q300) is on my car. more than willing to meet up with anyone to let them hear the exhaust.
