I'll come by and help out. It looks like all the Comptech supercharged cars in Fl will be there!

I can make it Sunday. What's a good time to show up?
I've got my Hondata gasket sitting here waiting patiently to be installed. Can anyone tell me what and how many additional parts that I'll need for the install? I need to get them ordered ASAP.

The only thing you'll need for the Hondata is some Honda coolant - which I have plenty of, and 2 crush washers from Honda -
Item No. Description Price
16705-PD1-003 W-GASKET, MUFFLER $1.76
90428-PD6-003 WASHER, SEALING (12MM) $1.86

I'm planning on being there for sure on Sunday and possibly on Saturday afternoon too, as I have a lot to see and learn.

I do need to do a couple things to the car, but as I'm totally clueless at this point, I need to be told in total layman's terms what I need to bring and if anyone wants to hassle with teaching me/helping me.

1. Oil change. (I know oil and filter, but what brand and weight oil does anyone recommend and do we even want to mess with that or should I just take it to Honda for that?)

2. Hard wire radar detector. Passport 8500. What do I need to get in the way of wiring or a hard wire kit and where do I get it?

3. Eventually, I'd like to hard wire my garage door opener and a gate opener. Does anyone have any clue how to do that and if so, what do I need?

See, told you I was clueless. LOL Mostly, I just want to be there to learn more about the cars and if I can get some help, to learn about mine. I kind of feel like a freeloader since I have no knowledge to give and just need help, but maybe I can help someone in the future and I'd be happy to have everyone over to my place for a pool party and/or mod session in the future..

I do look forward to meeting everyone and it's always nice to have lots of S2ks around to drool over.

Thanks, that's a big help. I'll order the stuff from Hardtop Guy today (no Honda dealers in my neck of the woods). Does anyone else who's installing the gasket need these parts? I can order extras if needed.

For the oil, I'd stick with the factory recommended 10W-30 and use the Honda filter. I use 10W-30 Amsoil which seems to do well in various oil comparisons. Usually I change my own oil, but I've been so busy getting settled into the new house that I took it to Express Lube (they carry Amsoil) along with a Honda filter, and let them do it while I watched. Once the dust settles around here, I'll install a Fujimoto drain valve and go back to doing it myself.
