My two year assignment here in Jacksonville is up. The Coast Guard is sending me north to attend grad school for year, followed by three years as an instructor at the CG Academy in New London, Connecticut. My last day of work is Friday.
I just wanted to post up a public thank you to everyone on this board. I moved to Jacksonville not knowing a single person, but I am leaving with dozens of new friends. I have truely enjoyed the company of all of those I have met and shared drives, meals, and conversations with. There are some great people driving S2000s in this part of the world.
I'll definitely continue to watch and post on this board, and I hope I will see some of you at the Dragon, which I PROMISE I will actually get to, hopefully this fall!
The crew of my boat and I are having a little party Friday night, May 12, at 8 pm at Twisted Sisters in Jacksonville Beach. I would like to extend an invitation to everyone here to attend as well. It'll be a good time!
Seriously, I'm really going to miss all of you, and keep up the good work down here
Matt, it was truly a pleasure knowing you. You were the one who led me to this forum. I doubt I would have found it otherwise. You were always one of the people that made this forum GREAT! It is my hope that our paths will meet again. Good luck with everything in NY.
Florida-This is a sad day. We are losing a wonderful and committed member to a very lucky NY Metro group.
If anyone has any pics of Matt or his exploits, post them to remind us all of the great times we have had.
Matt, you will be missed. I wish I had the chance to get smoked by you in autocross, maybe I will sometime in the future. Good luck in NYC. If you need a few contacts lemme know, but i'm sure a few people up there have myspace. I will look for you on the boards regarding suspension and tire advice. It sux to see such a great guy leave our group.
PS: Stay away from the key lime martini's! They're Froophey!
