we'll be in a flats boat ... we aren't that concerned about getting LOTS of fish ... just enough to tell stories about later.


My buddy is much more prepared than i thought. Evidently we have a friend who is now a charter captain out near Crystal River ... i had no idea. Anyway, we've got lots of tips and some decent GPS locations already plugged in ... so we should be good.

I purchased some snacks and a sub ... and my 'captain in a bottle' is in the freezer now ... should be just right by tomorrow.


Bill ... yep, shrimp and some artificial version called 'gulps' ... and a secret recipe of color. Don't worry ... it probably won't work.

It was not a great day for fishing and the morning was a bit chilly and blustery ... but, by noon it was an incredible day. The sun was bright and warm and the winds died down to a nice breeze.
