It sounds like it'll be a blast. Looking forward to the drive back with you guys. Unfortunately, I'll be up there on the 15th until the 24th. I guess I'll have to practice for the drive back on the dragon for a week.

Well, due to rapid multiple changes in the world of captaining, I have to fly to Bermuda next week to run a research ship for a few months. I explained to them that I had an 'important family event' scheduled for the weekend of Sept 22nd, so they are flying me into Orlando at 1830 on the 20th and back out at 0600 on the 25th.
This means that I probably won't even have a chance to stop by and visit my house, but I can still make the Dragon! Has the departure schedule firmed up at all for the 20th? If I have Jillian bring the S to pick me up I should be able to hit the road from Orlando around 7PM maybe catch up with you all or if not, then meet up Thurs AM at your stopover point. I'd like to firm up the schedule before I head out to sea, Internet access costs me over 10$ a minute from the ship.

We will meet Holiday Inn Express Columbia SC (link) for group rates use the code : THE FRESHMAKER!
September 21st, Thursday Morning 8:00 AM, bright and early for the drive.
I will be making a reservation for the night of the 20th and will drive up that eve and into the night. Due to everybody's crazy scheduling i will not coordinate a drive up to the hotel. That leg is up to you. If you want to caravan up, you can. I plan on leaving Daytona at about 4PM. I will be leading the group drive from the hotel to the Dragon on Thursday.
We will no doubt meet in the breakfast area around 7:30 AM planning for an 8:00 AM departure. Park with the other S2Ks, get up early, and we won't leave you behind.
Can't wait to run witcha!
