I'm still trying to buy a van. The last couple 3 I've run through GMAC. So I thought I'd give them a call and set up some prefinancing...make sure I'm getting the best deal etc.

I should note I owe them one payment and it's the last one a year and a half early.

When I got to a human, I think she was in India. She told me gmac didn't loan money and she could only help my billing. I asked her who should I call. She gave me GM corporate. The number didn't work. She said I might check online.

So I did

And there it was a click away, prefinancing....
It didn't work either.

I found a couple I like too way up in Ohio.

ps locally best deal is BOA but where did that 0% GMAC over 5 years go? I saw it advertised. Isn't that what they did with some of the money they got from the feds?

We feel your frustration Grant. My hubby had his lease for his SSR through GMAC and dealing with them is like shoving a square peg through a round hole.

Long story short: we will NEVER finance through them again.
