Yeah, my wife also has an orange Element EX, but with a 5-speed manual. The tires are so hard (80,000 mile Goodyears) I can chirp them upshifting into second, and sometimes third, gear.

The AWD is good for towing the boat we don't have, and the kayaks we don't have would fit nicely on the roof, and look cool too. Oh, well.


I wonder how many S owners also have Elements in their garages?

i wish we had the manual one.

a lot.

i HATE automatics, therefore it will be a cold day in hell that makes me drive this thing but its neat to ride in.

automatics aren't always bad.

Say you step on a landmine, lose your leg, and get sent flying into the open jaws of an alligator, who then takes off an arm. Bet an automatic would come in handy then...

ill tell ya when automatics are good...i broke my wrist over the summer and for 3 months i could not shift...if i had the s then i would have been SOL...
