Default Gears Installed!

Just got my 4.77 gears installed at First Class Automotive. They are great people and have an awesome staff. Oscar and the owner stayed after the shop closed to finish the car for me which i greatly appreciated. Oscar has the cleanest tool box i have ever seen at a shop also maybe he'll post a pic of it one day. As i was waiting there to be picked up a Ford GT pulled up to get inspected to go race at sebring. He offered me a ride back to where i needed to go, but my ride was already on the way

I just did my 4th heat cycle and everything seems to be going good. I can hear some whine as it gets more settled in. Nothing bad really just a light humming sound. So Far So Good.

I just read somewhere that you have to drive like 15 miles and let it cool for 30 mins. You have to do this 3-4 times. Than you can put on the miles to break it in.

Took them all day to do it. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at night. Costed about $430 for them to do everything like pull the diff from the car and put it back on with the gears.

heat cycling on a new diff gear set is very important. the poster is correct with the break in recommendation.
