Also, as a gesture of goodwill to Mr. Buckeye and all of Buckeye Nation:

Troy Smith scored a TD tonight for the Ravens. Yes, it was in garbage time at the end of the game, but still, it's a great start in his first season as a pro.

I personally never thought he'd even make an NFL roster. Write me down for 1 in the WRONG column.

Tedd Ginn had a kick off return for a TD a few weeks ago as well, though his team....that's another story......

I like the guy, and think he is just undiscovered as of yet. I believe he will make an impact in the NFL. I am pulling for him...

Gotcha. You're on watch. Makes sense now.

Since you're bored, let me stir the pot again....

Archie Griffin is the last, and only, person to win the Heisman more than once. He also happens to have attended your favorite university. This may be going out on a limb, alright it is going miles out there.....BUT, if Tebow were to win the next two, it'd look a little something like this:

T. Tebow > A. Griffin

Making it yet again, UF > OSU.

Besides, Tebow will not be even vote for himself next year. He will vote for Harvin. And, Tebow's rushing may diminish, with Emmanuel Moody in the backfield next year.

I am also guessing Michael Crabtree to be a serious contender for it next year, if Mike Leach does not leave Texas Tech.

Like I said, we need an awfully long limb to go out on for this one.

Let's make some Bowl picks, I'll start:

Sugar Bowl:
Hawaii vs. UGA
I'll take the Dawgs, in big time fashion, 2 TD's at least. Brennan and the Hawaii o-line can't handle the UGA big boys. In the battle of Samoans vs. Dirty South, I'll take the dirty all day.

To me, this seems to be the most difficult bowl to predict. I am not as bold to call UGA by 14. I will be curious though...

I think USC destroys Illinios.

UF punishes UM. (Heck, my marathon training partner, a knowlegeable UM fan and alumnist, even thinks so.)

LSU and OSU closer than expected.

scUM for a closer than expected game.

I pick Illinois for the upset.

Georgia is easy.

And need I say LSU is over rated....

LSU is a bit over-rated. Agreed, therefore the game may be closer than people expect.

Illinios is two years from Rose Bowl and USC status. They fell into a bowl, that is above their means. They are more of an Outback bowl team this year.

Michigan does not appear dynamic on either side of the ball, to match with UF's skill positions. Mike Hart is clearly a threat.

As for Hawaii and UGA - when a team can throw for 500 yards a game they can threaten anyone. And remember, UGA's pass defense, is not their strength on defense, there run defense is their strength. This is Utah 3 years ago, and Boise St. last year - could be a suprise!

Heck, Florida opens next year with Hawaii, Miami, and Tennessee. We may be 0-1 from the gate. UF landed the #1 and #2 Safeties in recruiting this year. When Hawaii arrives next fall to Gainesville, I bet both will have to contibute, to stop that offense. UF may play with 8 DB's...
